    Homeless Dogs Takeover IKEA Showrooms

A group in Singapore called Home for Hope came up with a clever way to find new adopters: put the homeless dogs in IKEA stores. Well, almost. What Home for Hope did was print up life-sized cutouts of dogs that were available for adoption from the shelters they work with. Then in collaboration with IKEA, they placed the cutouts in IKEA store showrooms …

Networking to Save More Lives at Adoption Options

Adoption Options, Petfinder’s free one-day conference series, focusing on behavior, placement, and promotion, are a great way to gain new knowledge about the most up-to-date information in animal welfare from nationally known speakers. It Won’t Work Here

The ASPCA Pro blog re-published an interesting post called It Still Won’t Work Here. The post was originally written by Dr. Emily Weiss in 2013 and it’s worth a read. She discusses the common excuse that we all make in both professional and personal situations: it won’t work here. Instead of trying something that has been successful or helpful for others, we already …

May The 4th Be With You

Here’s a great adoption promotion that’s pretty close to my heart as a Star Wars fan and a great example of a promotion that you can do when you’re in-between holidays. Animal Care and Control of NYC is putting together a Star Wars themed adoption event on May 4th called, appropriately, May the 4th Be With You. “Our goal with this adoption promotion …
