An Adoptable Pet Makes Her Animal Care Expo Photo Debut

by Susan Greene

The Petfinder Outreach Team had a great time with Petfinder members who attended the Animal Care Expo on May 20-23.  To create visual resources for events like these, we rely on our members and the eye-catching photos they take of their adoptable pets.

Clarrise graces our booth at EXPO

Case in point: Here is pretty Clarrise, whose striking photo caught our eyes as we perused pet lists for the perfect representative of a shelter cat for adoption. She became our feline model for a sign at our booth highlighting the future Petfinder Adoption Inquiry Form.

As the Expo was in full swing, along came the fantastic team from St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center to visit the Petfinder booth. They had made the long trip down from their home state of New Jersey to Daytona, FL for the Expo.  Clarrise was one of their very own beautiful adoptable cats!  Her photo was just a single sample of the great photos on their pet list.

They were surprised and thrilled to see Clarrise front-and-center at the Animal Care Expo.  We were happy to send the sign home with them as a souvenir of their great work–but not before they posed at our booth along with “Clarrise” for a photo of their own.

Great photographs not only get our members’ adoptable pets featured on the Petfinder Pro Blog or at our conference booths —most importantly, they help your pets find great homes. Visitors to Petfinder scroll through their search results, looking for the next beloved member of their family. Great photos say:  “Look at me! I’m extra-special, and just perfect for you!
