All sessions are designed to provide learning opportunities for the multiple roles animal welfare professionals are responsible for.
We continue to grow every year and this past event was our largest on record, with almost 300 people in attendance, representing over 60 different organizations, plus more sponsors and exhibitors than even before! Not to mention almost another 70 people who came in just for the Annual Awards Banquet!
For our 2020 event… we will once again be offering 3 full tracks, over 2 and a half days, to ensure that were truly had something for everyone. In addition to the standard CEU’s made available by FACA, we anticipate that all conference sessions will also be pre-approved for Certified Animal Welfare Administrator continuing education credits by The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement.
A three-day educational conference known for featuring proven solutions to increase lifesaving in shelter environments. The American Pets Alive! Conference showcases the proven, teachable solutions that Austin Pets Alive! and Austin Animal Center have used to create the largest No Kill city in the nation for eight years running.
The 2020 Animal Care Conference will feature 2 pre-conference workshops, 5 learning tracks, 25+ education sessions, over 50 knowledgeable speakers, and 2 days of exhibitors showcasing the latest industry products.
This yearly event brings together animal control officers, humane officers, animal care attendants, behaviorists, humane educators, shelter directors, veterinarians, RVTS, customer service representatives, all law enforcement personnel, and other animal-sheltering professionals.
Each year, VFHS presents a multi-day conference featuring renowned speakers who offer training on latest progressive practices in animal care, professional and organizational development, fundraising, spay/neuter programming and increasing lifesaving for sheltered animals. The Annual Conference is incredibly important to the Federation’s lifesaving goal, not only for the training it offers but also because members are able to develop strong and strategic partnerships which support their individual efforts and forward the overall goal of at least a 90% save rate for the state by 2020.
